Thor, as portrayed in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), is a powerful Asgardian warrior and one of the founding members of the Avengers. He is the son of Odin, the Allfather, and heir to the throne of Asgard.

Initially arrogant and reckless, Thor is banished to Earth to learn humility. He gradually develops a strong sense of responsibility and a deep connection to humanity.

Thor wields the enchanted hammer Mjolnir, which grants him control over lightning and the ability to fly. After Mjolnir's destruction, he gains the powerful axe Stormbreaker. He possesses superhuman strength, speed, and durability.

His first appearance in the MCU was in the 2011 film *Thor*. He then featured prominently in *The Avengers* (2012) and subsequent MCU films.
